    He first married 21-MAR-1850, Pulaski Co. KY to Amanda Melvina RAYBURN. He married the second time 26-FEB-1880, Pulaski Co. KY to Melvina Amanda PORTER (niece of first wife). Amanda Rayburn was born 12-JAN-1833 and died 1874. Melvina Porter was born 10-JUN-1857 and died 18-AUG-1943.

    William S. and Amanda RAYBURN had the following children:

    2. Elizabeth L. (Betty) Anderson, born 11-SEP-1852, Pulaski Co. KY, died 1935, Danville, Boyle Co. KY. Betty married Cyrus Waite Massey 23-AUG-1876.

    3. Nancy Susan Anderson, born 5-APR-1855, Pulaski Co. KY, died 8-AUG-1938, Pulaski Co. KY. Nancy married James Sledge Crews, 18-DEC-1879. This couple lived in Somerset, KY and had seven children.

    4. George Allen Anderson, born 15-FEB-1856, Pulaski Co. KY, married to Nancy E. Eubanks. (He committed suicide after the death of his wife and 2 children in the space of 1 week.)

    5. Samuel T. Anderson, born 22-OCT-1858, Pulaski Co. KY, married to Margaret Stolle. This couple moved to IL.

    6. Amanda Emily Frances Anderson, born 12-JAN-1862, Pulaski Co. KY, d. 21-SEP-1900, Cincinnati, Hamilton Co. OH. Amanda married John W. Cox This couple had 3 children. Amanda's second marriage was to Richard Stapp.

    3. Ida Anderson, born FEB-1887, Pulaski Co. KY, died APR-1967, Campbellsville KY. Ida married Henry Thomas Parrott.

    4. Henry Clay Anderson, born SEP-1889, Pulaski Co. KY, married to Bess L. Isaacs. (Henry Clay was Superintendent of Schools in somerset when he died.)

    5. David Anderson, born MAR-1891

    6. Joseph Anderson, born JUL-1893, Pulaski Co. KY, died 1965. Joseph married Mary.

    7. Fanny Anderson, born MAY-1896, married Wood Coppock, who was born in 1898.
